Business Partnership Agreement Generator

Add your partners with their capital contributions and ownership percentages, pick how profits are split, and watch a complete partnership agreement build live. A running total flags ownership that does not add up to 100 percent. When it looks right, copy it, download a .txt, or print to sign. Everything runs in your browser, so nothing you type is uploaded.

How to generate a partnership agreement

  1. Enter the partnership name, then add each partner with their capital contribution and ownership percentage.
  2. Choose profit sharing (by ownership, equal, or custom), describe the management structure, and set the governing law.
  3. Review the live preview and ownership total, then copy, download the .txt, or print the agreement to sign.

Frequently asked questions

Is my information sent to a server?

No. The agreement is assembled entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type about the partners, contributions or ownership is uploaded, logged or stored anywhere, so you can safely use real names and figures.

Is this partnership agreement legal advice?

No. This is a general template, not legal advice, and it does not create a lawyer-client relationship. Partnership law varies a lot by country and state, so review the output and have a qualified business lawyer check it before anyone signs.

What happens if the ownership percentages do not add up to 100?

The tool still generates the agreement, but it shows a running ownership total and adds a clear warning note when the percentages do not sum to 100 percent. Adjust each partner's share until the indicator reads 100 percent before you finalize the document.

What is the difference between the profit sharing options?

By ownership splits profits and losses in line with each partner's ownership interest. Equal divides them evenly between all partners regardless of capital contributed. Custom lets you set explicit proportions, which the agreement lists for each partner.

How many partners can I add?

At least two partners are required for a partnership, and you can add as many more as you need. Each partner gets a line in the partners and capital sections and their own signature block at the end of the document.

Can I edit the agreement after generating it?

Yes. Download the .txt or copy the text into your word processor, then adjust clauses, add partner addresses or schedules, and format it to match your letterhead before signing. Treat the output as a starting draft you tailor to your deal.
