Enter your site name and the affiliate programs you belong to, then choose a short, standard, or detailed disclosure. The tool builds FTC-style wording with the required 'may earn a commission' and 'at no additional cost to you' language, and adds an Amazon Associates note when you include Amazon. The preview updates as you type.

Frequently asked questions

What does the FTC require in an affiliate disclosure?

The U.S. Federal Trade Commission requires disclosures to be clear and conspicuous, placed close to the affiliate link, and easy to understand. The wording here states that links may be paid, that you may earn a commission, and that buying costs the reader nothing extra. Keep the disclosure near the links and not buried in fine print.

Do I need a special Amazon Associates disclosure?

Yes. The Amazon Associates Operating Agreement requires you to state that you are a participant in the program and that, as an Amazon Associate, you earn from qualifying purchases. When you include Amazon in your programs, the detailed style adds that exact paragraph for you.

Where should I place the disclosure?

Use the short style inline at the top of a post, above the first affiliate link, so it is seen before any link is clicked. Use the detailed style on a dedicated disclosure page linked from your footer. Many sites use both: a short inline note plus a full page.

Is my information sent to a server?

No. The disclosure is generated entirely in your browser with JavaScript. Nothing you type, including your site name, owner name, or contact email, is uploaded, logged, or stored.

Is this legal advice?

No. This tool produces a general-purpose disclosure from common templates and is a starting point, not legal advice. Disclosure rules vary by country and platform, so review the wording and, for high-stakes sites, have a qualified professional check it.

Can I edit the generated disclosure?

Yes. The output is plain text, so copy or download it and adjust the wording, add programs, or merge it with your terms and privacy pages. Just keep the clear commission language so it stays FTC-friendly.
