Frequently asked questions

How does the generator pick an answer?

The 0 to 1 range from your browser's random number generator is split into equal buckets, so Yes and No are equally likely, or Yes, No and Maybe each get a third when Maybe is on.

Can I add a Maybe option?

Yes. Turn on the Maybe toggle and each tap returns Yes, No or Maybe with equal odds.

What is the tally for?

It counts how many of each answer you have drawn this session, which is handy if you want to ask the same question a few times.

Is this truly random?

Answers use your browser's built-in random number generator, which is well suited for casual decisions. It is not meant for gambling or anything that must be provably fair.

Is anything sent to a server?

No. Every answer is generated locally in your browser, so the tool is private and works offline.
