AI Text Summarizer
Turn long text into a short summary in seconds. Paste an article, report, or email and a DistilBART AI model reads it and writes a fresh, concise summary. Choose how long the summary should be, then copy it. The model runs entirely in your browser, so nothing is uploaded. It downloads once on first use, then is cached.
How to summarize text

Frequently asked questions
Is my text uploaded anywhere?
No. Nothing is uploaded. The DistilBART model runs entirely in your browser via WebAssembly, so your text is summarized on your device and never sent to a server. Only the model itself is downloaded, once, then cached.
How is this different from an extractive summarizer?
Extractive tools just pick out existing sentences from your text. This is abstractive: DistilBART actually writes new sentences in its own words to capture the meaning, so the summary reads more naturally and is not limited to verbatim phrases.
How long can the text be?
There is no hard cap. Long text is automatically split into chunks on sentence boundaries, each chunk is summarized, and the parts are joined together. Very long inputs simply take a little longer to process.
Why does the first run take a moment?
The AI model downloads the first time you use the tool, then is cached for instant reuse. Longer text and more chunks also take a little longer to summarize.
How accurate is the summary?
DistilBART produces solid summaries for articles and prose, but like any AI it can occasionally drop a detail or rephrase awkwardly. Read the summary before relying on it, and shorten or lengthen it with the length control to suit your needs.
