No. The merge runs entirely in your browser with the pdf-lib library. Your files never leave your device, so confidential contracts, medical records or tax documents stay private.

Yes. Each row in the numbered list has Up and Down buttons, and the merged PDF follows the list from top to bottom. Arrange every file the way you want it before clicking Merge.

You need at least two, and there is no fixed upper limit. Because the entire job runs in your browser memory, very large files or long lists can slow the tab down, so split a huge batch into a few smaller merges if needed.

The download is always called merged.pdf, no matter how many files you combined or what they were named. Rename it in your downloads folder afterward if you want something more descriptive.

No. Pages are copied as-is into a fresh document, so text stays selectable and images and vector graphics keep their original resolution. There is no re-compression and no quality loss.

Yes. Every row has a Remove button that drops just that file from the list, and Start over clears everything. You can also use Add more PDFs to append files without losing the ones already listed.

If a PDF opens without a password in your normal viewer, it will merge here. A document that demands a password to open cannot be read, so the tool shows an error instead of merging.

Page content, text and images transfer cleanly. Interactive extras like bookmarks, form fields and internal link targets may not be preserved, because the pages are copied into a brand new document structure.

Yes. The counter at the top adds up the page count of every file currently in the list, so it always shows the exact number of pages the merged PDF will contain.
