Merge PDF Files

Combine two or more PDFs into a single document. Add your files, drag the order into shape with move up and move down, drop any you do not need, then merge and download. Everything runs in your browser with pdf-lib, so your files never leave your device.

How to merge PDF files

  1. Drop in two or more PDFs, or click to browse.
  2. Reorder the list with move up and move down, and remove any you do not want.
  3. Click merge to combine them and download the single PDF.

Examples

Combine a cover letter and resume

cover-letter.pdf (1 page) then resume.pdf (2 pages)
A single 3-page PDF in that order

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded anywhere?

No. The merge runs entirely in your browser with pdf-lib. Your files never leave your device, so confidential documents stay private.

Can I choose the order of the files?

Yes. Each file in the list has move up and move down controls. The merged PDF follows the list from top to bottom, so arrange them before merging.

How many PDFs can I merge at once?

You need at least two, and there is no fixed upper limit. Very large files use more memory because the whole job runs in your browser, so merge in batches if your tab slows down.

Does merging change the pages or reduce quality?

No. Pages are copied as-is into a new document, so text, images, and vector content are preserved with no quality loss.

What if one of my PDFs is password protected?

If a PDF opens without a password in your viewer, it will merge here. Documents that require a password to open cannot be read and will show an error.
