What does it show for very recent times?
Anything less than a minute away in either direction reads as just now.
Does it handle future dates?

How are months and years counted?
They use approximate lengths of 30 and 365 days, which keeps short phrases readable without calendar edge cases.
Are the singular and plural forms correct?
Yes. The tool says 1 day ago and 2 days ago, matching the count.
