Frequently asked questions

What is the difference between date mode and duration mode?

Date mode counts down to a fixed moment you pick, such as a launch or a holiday. Duration mode runs a fixed length of time, like 25 minutes, starting when you press Start.

What duration formats can I type?

You can use units like 25m, 90s, 1h 30m, or 1d 2h. Clock form such as 01:30:00 (h:mm:ss) and 30:00 (mm:ss) also works. A plain number, like 90, is read as minutes.

What happens when the timer reaches zero?

The display freezes at zero, shows a clear Time is up message, and plays a short beep if sound is on. You can turn the sound off with the toggle.

Will my timer survive a page refresh?

Yes. A running timer is saved in your browser, so a refresh resumes the countdown from the right point. Resetting or clearing the timer removes it.

Which time zone does date mode use?

The target you pick is treated as your own local time, and the countdown reads your device clock, so both sides use the same zone. Nothing is sent to a server.
