What is a lap on a stopwatch?
A lap records a split time without stopping the clock. The stopwatch keeps running and you see how long that segment took plus the cumulative total.
How precise is the timer?
It shows time down to centiseconds, a hundredth of a second. Timing tracks a start timestamp and accumulated time, so pausing and resuming stays accurate.
Does the stopwatch keep running if I switch tabs?
Yes. Because it measures elapsed time from a start timestamp rather than counting ticks, the displayed time stays correct even if the tab was in the background.
Which laps are highlighted?
The fastest lap is highlighted in green and the slowest in red, so you can spot your quickest and slowest segments at a glance.
Is anything uploaded or saved?
No. The stopwatch runs entirely in your browser. Nothing is sent to a server and your laps are not stored after you leave or reset.
