Frequently asked questions
How is meeting cost calculated?
Total cost equals attendees times the average hourly rate times the meeting length in hours. So 5 people at 50 dollars for 1 hour costs 250 dollars.
What hourly rate should I use?
Use a fully-loaded rate that includes salary plus benefits and overhead, which is often 1.25 to 1.4 times base salary. This reflects the true cost to the business.
What is cost per minute useful for?
Cost per minute makes it obvious how much each minute of overrun costs, which helps keep meetings focused and on time.
Does the currency matter?
No. The math is currency-agnostic, so enter rates in whatever currency you use and the result is in the same currency.
Is anything stored?
No. The calculation runs in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
