Fancy Text Generator
Type once and instantly see your text in eleven styles: bold, italic, bold italic, script, fraktur, monospace, double-struck, circled, fullwidth, small caps, and upside down. None of these are fonts. Each one swaps your A-Z, a-z, and 0-9 characters for a matching run of real Unicode code points, mostly from the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block, so the styled text keeps its look wherever you paste it.
How to make fancy text
- Type or paste your text into the Your text box, or tap Load sample to try the words Fancy Text.
- Scroll the list of styles; each row shows your text rendered in that style with its name and a short note.

Frequently asked questions
Are these real fonts?
No. Each style maps your letters and digits to a separate set of Unicode characters, largely the Mathematical Alphanumeric Symbols block plus Enclosed Alphanumerics and Fullwidth Forms. Because the output is plain Unicode text and not a font, it keeps its appearance when pasted, with no styling or font support needed.
Which styles are available?
Eleven: bold, italic, bold italic, script, fraktur, monospace, double-struck, circled, fullwidth, small caps, and upside down. The first several are true character substitutions; upside down also reverses the order of the text before flipping each character.
Where can I use fancy text?
Anywhere that accepts Unicode: Instagram, TikTok, X, Discord, YouTube, and most usernames and bios. Some platforms strip certain characters, hide them from search, or block styled text in real names, so paste a test first before you rely on a style.
Why do a few letters stay normal?
Some styles have gaps in Unicode. Small caps has no dedicated small capital for q or x, so those pass through unchanged. In upside down, letters without a rotated look-alike are reused as-is. Spaces, emoji, and most punctuation also pass through untouched.
Do digits and punctuation get styled too?
Digits are styled in bold, monospace, double-struck, circled, fullwidth, and upside down, since those blocks include figures. Italic, bold italic, script, fraktur, and small caps cover letters only, so numbers stay plain. Most punctuation is left alone except in upside down, which flips marks like question and exclamation.
Is fancy text good for accessibility?
Use it sparingly. Screen readers often skip or misread Mathematical Alphanumeric characters, and search engines may not match them, so avoid styling whole sentences or anything a reader must understand. It works best as a short accent, like one word or a name.
Why does the styled text look plain in some apps?
The characters are always correct, but a device needs a font that includes those code points to draw them. Older phones or niche apps missing those glyphs may show boxes or fall back to plain shapes, even though the underlying text is intact.
Can other people copy my styled text back to plain?
The styled characters are distinct code points, not your original letters, so copying them does not automatically restore plain ASCII. A case or normalization tool can map many of them back, but there is no guaranteed round trip for every style.
Is my text private?
Yes. Every style is generated in your browser and nothing is uploaded to a server, so your text never leaves your device.
