Frequently asked questions

Is this coin flip really random?

Each flip uses your browser's built-in random number generator, which produces unbiased results with a near even chance of heads or tails. It is great for everyday decisions and games.

What are the odds of heads or tails?

A fair coin has a 50 percent chance of each on every flip. Past results never change the next one, so a long streak of heads does not make tails more likely.

Can I flip more than one coin at a time?

Yes. Use the Flip 10 button to toss ten coins at once. The result panel and the running tally update with the full heads and tails breakdown.

How does the running tally work?

Every flip is added to a session tally that shows total heads, total tails, and each as a percentage. Press Reset to clear the counts and start fresh.

Does the tally save after I close the page?

No. Everything runs in your browser and the tally is kept only for the current session, so closing or reloading the page resets the counts.
