The first year counts as about 15 human years, the second year brings the total to about 24, and every year after that adds roughly 4 human years.
Is the 7 year rule correct for cats?
No. Cats mature far faster in their first two years than the simple multiply-by-7 rule suggests, so it gives a misleading age for both kittens and senior cats.
How old is a 3 year old cat?
About 28 human years. That is 24 for the first two years plus 4 more for the third year.
When is a cat considered senior?
