Frequently asked questions

In what order are discount and tax applied?

The discount comes off the subtotal first, then tax is charged on the discounted base, and shipping is added last.

Is shipping taxed?

No. In this calculator shipping is added after tax, so the tax is only charged on the discounted goods.

How is rounding handled?

Every amount is rounded to two decimal places, and the parts add up exactly to the grand total shown.

Can I leave the discount or tax blank?

Yes. Any of discount, tax and shipping can be left at zero, and the total adjusts accordingly.

Does it support multiple line items?

Yes. Add as many quantity and price rows as you need and the subtotal sums them all.
