Frequently asked questions

What is the click-through rate formula?

CTR equals clicks divided by impressions, multiplied by 100 to show a percentage. For example, 50 clicks on 10,000 impressions is a 0.5% CTR.

What is a good click-through rate?

It varies by channel. Search ads often see 2% to 5%, display ads under 1%, and email campaigns roughly 2% to 5%. Compare against your own past results.

Can I work out clicks from a target CTR?

Yes. Enter a CTR percent and your impressions and the calculator multiplies them to estimate the clicks you would expect.

Why use code-point precision for CTR?

CTR values can be tiny, so the result keeps up to four decimal places. That lets you compare low-volume placements without everything rounding to zero.

Is the calculation done privately?

Yes. Everything runs in your browser and nothing you enter is uploaded or stored.
