Weight on Other Planets Calculator
Type in your weight on Earth and see what the same body would register on Mercury, Venus, Mars, the gas giants, the Moon, Pluto and even the Sun. Each figure is your Earth weight multiplied by that body's surface gravity relative to Earth, where Earth equals 1. The table lists all eleven bodies at once and you can copy the whole set with one click.
How to find your weight on other planets
- Type your weight on Earth into the 'Your weight on Earth' box.
- Choose lb or kg from the Unit dropdown; the result comes back in the same unit.
- Read the table, which lists each body, its gravity relative to Earth, and your weight there.
- Note the Earth row is highlighted so you can compare every other body against it.
- Click Copy to grab the full list of bodies and weights as plain text.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my weight change on other planets?
Weight is the pull of gravity on your mass. Your mass never changes, but each body has a different surface gravity, so the force pressing you down, which is your weight, rises or falls with it.
Does it matter if I enter pounds or kilograms?
No. The calculation multiplies by a ratio, so the answer comes back in whatever unit you enter. Pounds in gives pounds out, kilograms in gives kilograms out. The Unit dropdown only labels the result, it does not convert between the two.
What would I weigh on the Moon?
About 16.6 percent of your Earth weight. The Moon's surface gravity is roughly one sixth of Earth's, so a 100 pound person weighs about 16.6 pounds and a 70 kilogram person about 11.62 kilograms there.
Why is my weight on Jupiter and the Sun so high?
Jupiter is the most massive planet, with a surface gravity about 2.36 times Earth's, so you weigh more than double. The Sun's gravity is about 27.9 times Earth's, which is why a 100 pound person shows 2790 pounds. Neither is a place you could actually stand.
Which bodies are included?
All eight planets plus the Moon, Pluto and the Sun, eleven bodies in total. They are listed roughly from the Sun outward, with the Moon placed just after Earth for easy comparison.
Are these surface gravities exact?
They are the commonly cited average surface gravities relative to Earth's 9.80665 meters per second squared. Gas giants have no solid surface, so their values are taken at the visible cloud tops, and real gravity varies slightly with latitude and altitude.
Can I enter zero or a decimal weight?
Yes. Zero returns zero everywhere, and decimals like 62.5 work fine. Negative numbers are rejected because a weight below zero has no physical meaning. Results are rounded to two decimal places.
Is my weight sent anywhere?
No. The whole calculation runs in your browser using fixed gravity ratios. Nothing you type is uploaded or stored, so your weight stays private on your device.
How is this different from a gravity or force calculator?
This tool skips the physics and just scales one number by a table of ratios, so it is quick for the everyday what would I weigh question. If you need to work in newtons or vary the gravitational constant, a general force or kinetic energy calculator is a better fit.
