Frequently asked questions

How is stock profit calculated?

Profit is proceeds minus cost. Cost is buy price times shares plus the buy fee. Proceeds are sell price times shares minus the sell fee.

What is the break-even price?

It is the sell price per share that makes profit zero after both fees: total cost plus the sell fee, divided by the number of shares.

Does it account for commissions?

Yes. Both buy and sell commissions are included in the cost, proceeds and break-even calculations.

Is the return percentage based on cost?

Yes. Return percent is profit divided by total cost, including the buy commission, times 100.

Is my data private?

Yes. Everything is calculated in your browser and nothing is uploaded.
